Godwin woman killed in weekend crash

CLINTON - A Godwin woman was killed early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 13 about four miles south of Newton Grove, the Highway Patrol said.

Elizabeth Molina, 27, of Sycamore Lane, was traveling north about 3:20 a.m. when she lost control of the 2001 Ford she was driving, a spokeswoman said.

The car ran off the right side of the road, came back onto the road, ran off again on the left side and hit a ditch, the spokeswoman said.

The car re-entered the roadway and overturned, throwing Molina out of the vehicle, the spokeswoman said.

Molina was not wearing a seat belt, the spokeswoman said.
